RuneScape: Dragonwilds Deluxe Edition: Digital & Physical

The RuneScape: Dragonwilds Deluxe Edition comes in two forms: a $9.99 digital upgrade that adds cosmetics to the base game, and a Physical Deluxe Edition that bundles those same digital items with a collector's box, steelbook, patches, character cards and a cloth map of Ashenfall. Jagex states the in-game gear included is equal in stats to existing gear, so nothing here is a power advantage.

This is the standalone survival game, not the RuneScape MMO or Old School RuneScape. The "Old School RuneScape-inspired" helmets are a design nod to a separate, older game — they are craftable cosmetic items inside Dragonwilds, not transfers between games.

The official site's edition panel lists the same bundle in the same shape — Gilded Armor and Cape, six OSRS-inspired helms, four Dragon head wallmounts, ten paintings and the two animated animals — which is why the contents are treated as corroborated rather than one-off marketing copy.

That list is Jagex's own contents list from the 29 July 2026 announcement, and it matches what the US retail listing advertises for the box. Jagex is upfront about one limitation of the cloth map: it covers the continent through the Scorned Wilderness release, and the studio notes it cannot update physical maps as Ashenfall expands beyond 1.0. Physical packages also ship with a game disc for the console versions.

The physical listing showing $69.99 also misspells the game as "Drangonwilds", which is a fair signal of how much weight to give that number until an official store page carries it; the base-game pricing it shows ($34.99 for physical standard, against $29.99 digital) is likewise single source. Jagex's own guidance on physical stock is deliberately neutral: the studio said it had no preferred partner or stockist and advised searching for the edition name near you.

When the physical editions arrive

Jagex announced the Physical Deluxe Edition on 29 July 2026 and said it would be available to pre-order immediately and to buy later that year. The official 1.0 update video puts a date on it — physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X follow on 5 November 2026 — and the US retail listing shows the same 5 November 2026 date, so the window is consistent across two sources even though the price is not.

Editions that do not exist, and open questions

Jagex answered several related questions in the same announcement, and the answers are worth keeping separate from anything a store listing implies. There was no decision on physical goodies for PC owners, and no decision on a physical Nintendo Switch 2 release — the Switch 2 version is digital on the eShop, with the physical question marked TBC (single source — official FAQ, July 2026). The Jagex Launcher is also a genuinely separate platform: owning the game on Steam does not give you access through it (single source — official FAQ).
