RuneScape: Dragonwilds Price: $29.99 and Deluxe Editions

RuneScape: Dragonwilds costs $29.99 in the US and £24.99 in the UK for the standard edition, and that price did not change when the game left Early Access. A $9.99 Digital Deluxe upgrade exists for cosmetic extras, and physical editions are sold separately through retailers.

This is the standalone survival game. RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are different games with their own subscriptions — nothing here applies to their pricing.

Jagex's own announcement gives £24.99 or $29.99 as the headline price, Steam and the US PlayStation Store both show $29.99, and the UK PlayStation Store shows £25.00 (single source — that listing only), which looks like a minor display difference on the UK storefront rather than a separate price.

The price held at 1.0

On 2 September 2026 Jagex published an announcement titled "Dragonwilds' Price Isn't Changing." Its central sentence: "we've decided not to raise the price of RuneScape: Dragonwilds following our 1.0 release - it will stay at £24.99 or $29.99." The same post says the game contains the entirety of Kuldra's Saga and the free updates around it, and that the next winter update, Luminance, is free as well. The point worth taking from that: a single purchase now covers content that arrived after launch, as laid out on the roadmap.

Steam prices are set per region, and most regions are cheaper than the US after conversion. The figures below come from one third-party tracker, so treat them as a snapshot rather than an official list.

All rows in this table: single source (SteamDB price table, September 2026). The tracker also records a lowest-ever Steam discount of -30%, which put the US price at $20.99 on 15 December 2025 (single source). Jagex has not published a sale schedule, so that is history rather than a forecast.

Subscriptions can cover the cost entirely

Two of the four platform families made the game available on a subscription at launch. On PlayStation, the PS5 version arrived day one in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues, so eligible subscribers could play it without buying it. On Xbox, Jagex announced in August 2026 that the game was coming to Xbox Game Pass, and the store listing confirms cloud play is bundled with the Premium and Ultimate tiers while the Essential tier requires owning the game first (single source — Xbox listing). What costs extra, and what does not

Beyond the game itself, the paid extras are the Digital Deluxe add-on at $9.99, the physical editions, and the console equivalents of the Deluxe bundle. There is no in-game currency, no loot box and no battle pass: Xbox and PlayStation store pages carry an "In-Game Purchases" label, which refers to the Deluxe upgrade and cosmetic content rather than any consumable economy (double-sourced across both store pages).
